24 hours of pure Hell! Not.
The Green Hell will be lightened up and fully awake this weekend!
One of the most anticipated racing events is here now! Four months later, true, no spectators but the 24 Hours of Nürburgring are finally here! Alike Le Mans or Daytona, these big, 24-hour iconic races help running an industry that surely can’t stop or thousands of people are immediately impacted, professionals who are regularly involved, cross functions, backgrounds or responsibilities.
Despite the ongoing global pandemic, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring go green this weekend and it will be a blast again. I don’t recall watching one without fierce and unforgettable battles, crazy situations on track – with halted tow trucks and racing cars passing by at more than 200km/h – no, you don’t fall asleep on this one, nope!
There are only two races when my sleep, apparently, takes time off, it just isn’t there: The 24 Hours of Nürburgring and the 12 Hours of Bathurst.
They’re both so exciting, so busy all the time and both sceneries are insane. The grueling Green Hell and deep forest in Germany and the zigzagging mountain landscape in Australia. Those are just unbelievable places to speed at.
Anyway, a lot of action is expected this weekend, tons of GT stars on site (driver lineups are often top), all the heavy machinery is there too. Despite some Porsche crew/drivers and Manthey Racing’s Grello won’t go Karussell’ing this time, due to some positive tests after Le Mans, the German marque is still well represented through customer teams.
What is your plan for this racing action-packed weekend? There is plenty to choose from, but don’t forget to give the 24 Hours of Nürburgring a go. You won’t regret it. Specially if you are not a regular fan, trust me, this race is a jaw-dropper!
