Hi, my name is Chris Lazenby, from North Yorkshire in England. I started photography covering mountain biking events from across the UK, when I stopped competing myself due to past injuries. Over the last few years I’ve slowly made the transition from cycling to motorsport photography. This wasn’t a conscious decision but something that happened over time. I’m now fully immersed in the world of motorsport and as I’m writing this, it’s currently the off-season here in the UK and I have to wait months until the next event here. Luckily I’m getting out to the Bathurst 12hr in February and am really looking forward to that. Watch this space….. When I’m not taking photos I’m either running my art gallery and picture framers in the small Yorkshire market town of Helmsley or busy putting our fires as I’m also a member of the local fire service. Picture framing and putting out fires keeps me plenty busy during the week but at the weekend, I like to hear the sound of cars screaming past whenever I can. I’m currently in the process of using some of my photographs for inspiration for artwork which then goes for sale in the gallery.
