Rip Shaub

I’ve been a photographer for 30 years, but started focusing exclusively on motorsports photography in 2016. My training is in photojournalism and trying to capture a story in an image that puts the viewer there. My goal is to capture the details and differences that make every race unique and share that with viewers. Whether that’s the track, the atmosphere, the light, the people or the cars, I want to show people why every race is not like any other. I’ve shot every major series that runs in America (F1, MotoGP, WEC, IMSA, IndyCar, NASCAR, NHRA) but I most enjoy shooting sports car racing at all levels. Covering endurance racing with a night time segment is when I’m at my happiest. Currently based in Austin, Texas.
